0 Entry & orientation

This chapter is the mandatory entry into Selmo. Attitude, claim and reading logic of the entire documentation.

  • Normative: Chapters 4–8

  • Argumentative / explanatory: Chapters 0–3, 9

It is intentional:

  • concise

  • precise

  • non-technical

  • non-promotional

Selmo is not a tool that you can "just use". Selmo is a model that must be understood.

A model for explainable machines

Selmo is not a programming tool, not a low-code system and not a substitute for engineering thinking.

Selmo is a formal model, with which machine behavior can be described, verified and accounted for can be.

If you understand the model, you understand the machine.

Summary

This chapter aims to ensure that:

  • Expectations are clarified

  • Misunderstandings are avoided

  • Selmo is understood not as a "tool", but as a model is understood

Selmo forces clarity – so that machines remain explainable.
