4.8 Checklist for PTF

1. Process:

   • Are all process steps known and named?

   • Is there a home position and a goal?

   • Are decisions, repetitions, safety states defined?

2. Technology:

   • Are all signals present and uniquely addressable?

   • Are the sensors/actuators suitable for the process?

   • Is there feedback for every action?

3. Function:

   • Are zone types (IN, OUT, IN_OUT, MEM) chosen correctly?

   • Are action and reaction described?

   • Are the zones clearly named and labeled?

If all answers are "Yes", the system is PTF-compliant and thus Selmo-capable.
