Selmo Standard is a structured programming technique in which the program is divided into parts that each serve a specific purpose and together provide the entire control and diagnostic functionality. The structure of Selmo Standard can be roughly divided into the following components. Each component is described in detail in the following sections.
Global Utilities The Global Utilities segment contains PLC logic that provides functions that can be used throughout the PLC program. A number of flags and registers, each with its own function, can be used as needed. The Global Utilities include:
Flash output
Lamp test
Error acknowledgement, etc.
